Vaccine Passports

I thought readers might be interested in the letter I sent this morning to our local M.P., Mel Arnold; the text of which is copied below.

Those of us who are frightened by the prospect of such governmental over-reach had better speak up now, or we may as well forever hold our peace.

Greetings Mr. Arnold, Mike Ward from Tappen here.

Below is a quote from our P.M. from The Post Millenial regarding his intentions regarding ‘vaccine passports’:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sounded committed to the idea of a vaccine passport for incoming travellers, but added that implementing the idea would require cooperation from like-minded countries.

“We’re still very much in a third wave, we still need to get more and more people vaccinated across this country and get those numbers down. However, we also know that as people start to travel again – perhaps this summer if everything goes well – it would make sense for us to align with partners around the world on some sort of proof of vaccination or vaccine certification,” said Trudeau.

“We are now working with allies, particularly in Europe on that. But, ultimately, it is up to every country to determine what requirements they expect from incoming travellers.”

Implementing any sort of vaccine passport is in direct contravention of the Nuremberg Code (1947) which I believe Canada was signatory to, a portion of which I quote below, my emphasis added:

The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment.

The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs, or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.

No Canadian citizen should be forced or coerced into taking these experimental ‘vaccines’ in order to enter freely back onto their native soil. Please stand against any such draconian measure as you represent the interests of your constituents in Parliament.

Thank you and best regards.
