A Plea for some sanity

I have written and emailed the following letter to the mayor and councillors of Lambton County, hoping for some push-back against the heavy-handed and oppressive stance that our provincial government is enforcing upon private businesses in Ontario. A motion will be presented and voted on this week.

Dear Sir/Madame,

Greetings – Mike Ward and Lynn Groves here. We were long-time residents of Sarnia until we moved to British Columbia in 2015. We have just moved back to Grand Bend, Ontario this fall to be closer to our children and grandchildren in Sarnia, in these uncertain times.

A motion has been put forward to Lambton County Council that will be discussed and decided on at the November 3rd meeting that, if passed, would have the county request that the Provincial Government of Ontario remove all mandatory requirements to show proof of vaccination across all sectors in Ontario and return Ontario to a place where everyone is treated as equals.

My wife, Lynn Groves and I are very frightened at the prospects of any government mandating that its citizenry submit themselves to taking medications that many doctors and scientists caution against, and that is still technically ‘experimental’. We are therefore fully supportive of this motion.

U.S. VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) data released October 22/21 by the CDC shows a total of 623,343 reports of adverse events from all age groups following COVID vaccines, including 13,627 deaths and 84,466 serious injuries between Dec. 14, 2020 and October 15, 2021. It is generally accepted that less than 10% of all adverse reactions are even reported and recorded in this database.

The World Health Organization maintains a more comprehensive global database ‘http://vigiaccess.org/’ of reported potential side effects of medicinal products. Side effects – known technically as adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) – are reported by national pharmacovigilance centres or national drug regulatory authorities that are members of the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring (PIDM). I saved the data (PDF format) from October 28, 2021 – you can view the attachment below and draw your own conclusions.

Where can you see or hear about this in the mainstream media? The truth is that no one knows the long-term effects of these so-called vaccines. And there are many of us who do not wish, and will not allow ourselves to be, experimental subjects for the likes of Pfizer and Moderna.

Vaccine mandates fly in the face of the bedrock ethical principle of informed consent established in the Nuremberg Code. As an adult of reasonably sound mind, I should be allowed sovereignty over my own body, and make my own decision on what medications to take – and conversely, avoid if I believe the benefits do not outweigh the risks.

By putting the onus onto private businesses to enforce these arguably draconian dictates, denying people the right to work and access to goods or services based on their ‘vaccination status’, what is rightly confidential medical information and none of anyone’s business, governments at all levels are turning people against people, a truly underhanded maneuver of getting others to do their ‘dirty-work’ if ever there was one.

If we continue as a society along this dreary path, it won’t be long before those of us who chose to exercise our right to informed consent and who wish to protect our medical confidentiality become second-class citizens. How long before they restrict our access to health care and other necessities of life? It seems the goalposts move further from freedom and closer to tyranny on a weekly if not daily basis.

As for the un-elected health czars behind these dictates who have been handed all-but-absolute authority over our elected representatives, I fear the last thing they want is a ‘return to normal’. They keep changing the rules on us and no doubt will continue to do so until they are stopped, or until our economy is in ruins, our social order is in chaos, and our spirits crushed. To my mind, ceding such authority to people totally unaccountable to the voting public, then coercing private businesses and law enforcement agencies to, in essence, enforce and police these ‘orders’, is unconscionable.

Thank you for your consideration.
